Lorilyn Dress - Navy Multi OOAK
A really joyful, voluminous dress that manages to be both cozy and breezy (caftan vibes, but make it fall). What makes this dress extra-special is that it’s made from fabrics that might have otherwise been discarded.
The top portion is made from deadstock indigo french-terry that Carleen sourced locally in LA, and the patchwork portion is made from discarded post-consumer t-shirts. You know the kind we mean; did you run a 5k and get a t-shirt for participating? Did you get a shirt for volunteering at an event? These types of shirts are abundant and have almost no value on the secondhand market. Carleen wanted to find a way to give some of them a second life, and, as usual, they turned to patchwork for inspiration.
Each piece is one of a kind so there will be slight variations to the patchwork skirt from piece to piece.

Story: Carleen uses repurposed textiles as often as possible, as well as fabrics made from natural fibers, including organic, recycled, and deadstock whenever possible. Every Carleen piece is made locally in Los Angeles, where they can keep an eye on quality, reduce their carbon footprint, and also monitor the working conditions of the skilled workers who make their clothes.
